Just The Facts
2 major drawbacks

The only 2 issues are you can’t run an external monitor through the USB C ports and you can’t charge the laptop through those ports either. This one does have the higher speed USB C ports at 10GB/s compared to others on the market. Good for external data transfer.

Great hub! With it, my 3.1 gen 2 devices are reaching their full potential.

With this hub plugged into a 3.1 gen 2 USB port on my PC, I get great speeds! Even when I simultaneously send and receive data to another gen 2 drive connected to a different port on this hub. The transfer speeds were a just a bit slower of course. But they are still noticeably faster than 3.0/3.1 drives due to their hardware limitations. I wish the cord was longer though.

10Gbps, not 5Gbps like most of the others

I was attracted to this hub because I wanted to share a type-C port. This is one of the few, certainly the lowest price, hubs that I could find which worked at 10Gbps for all 4 of the ports.I don't have an easy way to check the bandwidth, but I did test various features (like DP) and it worked great.

Connectivity Problems - NOT RELIABLE

I've had this unit for quite some time now, and I would not buy another one, that is for sure. In fact, I will replace this one. Constant connectivity problems, and I use items that should have the least of these - 2 thumb drives and a keyboard in particular, but other external devices do the same thing. All items plugged into this unit are likely to go offline at any time. They may be reliably connected for days, and suddenly they're gone. And these items will go offline independently of one another, so it's not the entire unit simply "going down". I try to keep the thumb drives online at all times. I'm reduced to 1 thumbdrive and a keyboard right now - the least needed thumb drive, and I'm always prepared to plug the keyboard in elsewhere. Anyone else have these problems after extended use?

Perfect for my new laptop, which doesn't have a standard USB port.

I like the little bit of cord. That allows you to get more things plugged in to your device, when the ports are so close together.
